
In my office in NYC I use hypnosis to help people regain control of their habits and behaviors. I help to eliminate old bad habits by teaching them how to replace those old habits with new healthier behaviors, and then I work with them so that those new behaviors become then their normal conditioned responses. And when he has reason to lose weight is the natural response to healthier behaviors
You see, these are our habits, our unthinking, unconscious patterns, we bring the most problems. If we ourselves to walk in our house every day at the end of the workday and abandonment of our packages on the ground and fled into the kitchen for a "treat" a kind of non-food (food unhealthy), then plop ourselves on the couch watching television, and every day we feel compelled to make this activity even unhealthy. In fact, if we fail in this business, our list of everyday normal things to do, we will first be seedy. We feel off balance. Things do not seem right. You can replace this unhealthy activity with a healthier approach. If we finish our work day with a trip to the gym, or the yoga or meditation circle, we can create that same kind of conditioned response to a healthier behavior. And when we do not follow through with this new healthier behavior, we'll get those same feelings of being in bad mood, loss of balance, or not feeling right. And these feelings of discomfort will motivate us to stay on track with healthier behavior rather than bad behavior.
How hypnosis can help to develop good habits?
Hypnotic trance is a state where we become more suggestible. We tend to believe and accept all the suggestions are placed in the subconscious when we are hypnotic trance. In my office, I suggest to my clients they start to behave differently. I suggest that they will start to behave the way they agreed to behave during our brief pre-interview session. I link the old behavior for a very unpleasant feeling or experience so they will be motivated to stop doing this unhealthy behavior. Then I have my clients practice the new behavior and the link to an extremely pleasant feeling or experience so they are motivated to respond to new health behavior.
Why this process of hypnosis work?
But the reason it works is that we tend to get away from things that feel bad and move toward things that make us feel good. You heard the metaphor of the donkey being coaxed two ways. With a carrot and a stick. Basically this is providing my clients in their own carrot and stick. Stagger them along a path that will lead to healthy choices that are necessary for them to reduce their current weight and keep them able to maintain this weight as long as they want to maintain this healthy lifestyle. It is a change of lifestyle, not a panacea catch-up as diet short term, because it is so restrictive, is unsustainable. When you change your lifestyle and it becomes usual sound becomes as easy as brushing your teeth every morning, or wash their hands at specific times. And because the habits are so powerful, we make powerful allies in our program for weight loss.
In summary
This becomes one of how very powerful that hypnosis is effective in helping my clients become thinner, healthier and happier. Hypnosis is also a very pleasant experience for people so they have fun and feel very relaxed and more capable. A byproduct of this so rewarding to make changes permanently.
