Is Hypnotherapy safe and effective for teens?
I have a very troubled 14 year old younger brother. Our father died 2 years ago and he has gone downhill since then. He started cutting school, stealing, joining gangs, drinking, and now we even think he's dropped out of school and could be using drugs. He hooked up with this gang of older kids and we hardly see him. We love him very much but are recently afraid of him too because he's threatened to kill us a few times when he was younger. Most of us are also convinced that the recent robberies were either lead by or plotted by him. It's Christmas soon and we don't want to leave him alone and maybe feeling unloved.
Also, he was taken cared of by our strict grandparents who tolerated his behavior until they couldn't take any more. The same grandparents who are trying to kick me and my sister out of our father's house.
I would like to seek the opinion of someone in the Philippines because we are seriously out of options for our brother. We want to help him.

For teenagers this is a common grief reaction, so bereavement counselling may be more appropriate.
But yes hypnosis works well with this age group as long as they are willing & the right methods are used.
