Progressive relaxation: The most reliable technique hypnosis
People have many different ideas about what hypnosis looks like. Some say a volunteer at a Las Vegas unfortunate hypnotized show clucking like a chicken. Others believe that witnesses of crime to be hypnotized by police psychologists. Still others think of horror movies where a person is hypnotized became little but a blind zombie, obeying the orders of his hypnotist how terrible.
What is hypnosis?
The truth is far less glamorous. Hypnosis is simply a fancy word for a light trance, a state somewhere between waking and sleep. There are many hypnosis techniques to help induce this trance. While in this trance, hypnotized subjects tend to be very attentive to certain stimuli (eg, the voice of the hypnotist), while ignoring other stimuli altogether (eg, not knowing whether the room is hot or cold). Persons in the hypnotic trance are also more suggestible and perhaps decreased inhibitions. A hypnotic trance, however, breaks easily, and at no time a person is hypnotized never completely out of control its behavior.
How is a person hypnotized?
There are many hypnosis techniques to induce a hypnotic trance. Some techniques of hypnosis involve using props as always in motion a spiral or a glittery gold watch. The technique of hypnosis the most simple however, is called progressive relaxation and requires nothing more than the voice of the hypnotist.
To use this technique hypnosis, the subject must sit or lie down in a posture that he or she finds comfortable. Soft music can be played in the background, if it suits both hypnotist and subject.
In a soft but firm voice, the hypnotist must draw attention to the topic at the major muscle groups, starting with the feet. The subject should be asked to stretch the muscles of his feet, hold them for a number of three, then relax. The hypnotist should then return the subject's body, focusing on the calves and knees, thighs, buttocks, etc. After each muscle group years, the hypnotist should remember the purpose of maintain a state of relaxation (eg, "You are now completely relaxed in your stomach to your feet")
As the hypnotist reaches the subject's face and neck, other suggestions of sleepiness can be given (eg "You're so relaxed that your eyelids are heavy. Let your eyes close as you lie and listen to my voice. ")
What Next?
Once this technique was hypnosis used to induce trance, the hypnotist can ask questions, offer visualizations (eg, having been to see himself off pain "switch in the brain), or an implant post-hypnotic commands (for example," When you wake up, you will not want to smoke ").
Some people naturally slip trance to a sleep state from which they wake up calm and cool.
Best hypnosis technique, however, is to awaken the subject. A common way to do this is by counting ten to one, giving clues about how the object of his body wakes. (For example, "Ten. You're starting to wake up. Nine. Your feet are light and ready to dance or foot. Eight. Your legs are ready to take you where you want to go. Etc.)
After a session hypnotic, be open to comments your subject. No matter how skilled you may be a hypnotist, it is always possible to improve!
